Vietnam from the perspective of Jan
From the capital of Laos (Vientiane) we took the bus very quickly after Vietnam. And with a lot, chain smoking, loud and without asking the feet face elongating Vietnamese, a little stressful to cross the border with countless stamp orgies and stand in line (which you probably always leaves as Touri rather than last). After we had been kicked out then another 15 km before the city just off the bus, the image of the Vietnamese was slightly biased to the first ... but then that would change later in the journey to happiness quickly.
over the imperial city of Hue, where the riots in 1963 in the wake of the Vietnam conflict led to the world-famous action of the burning Buddhist monk Thich Quang Duc was always on the coast of Hoi An and Na Thrang along way to Mui Ne, where we hinlockten relaxing on the beach and water sports. identify clearly the way was already going through the transition which the country currently. From Communism is felt here too little, would a non-permanent the colorful giant posters with images reminiscent of soldiers, peasants, workers and sayings as well as the Soviet flag is also omnipresent. Modern cities such as Na Thrang and the construction projects of foreign investors along the coast but speak a different language.

Advil For Runnres Knee
Laos from the perspective of Jan
That Laos has a lot of young, distinguished himself already here, but in the more sparsely populated stretches of land from what was by happy and carefree laughter and Winkgelage observe the small nudes at water's edge. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, we were first surprised by the after this trip not so expected wealth of western tourists and the corresponding border town with a slightly higher price structure - but also all the comfort you as an experienced and adventure-seeking backpackers do not even need, but but thankfully accepts. Such as that the souvenir heart beat faster as night market or a visit to the bar in stylish beat on the river bank Utopia Travel originate with nice friends. A day's journey continues in Vang Vieng we experienced again something so completely different from what one would probably expect in Laos.
hordes of young party people from all corners of Vang Vieng have chosen to your stronghold. A breathtaking landscape is crossed by thick Bassgewummer the bars that have settled on a river about 4 km above the city. can be equipped with dizzying swings meter high female to male as against each other for free under the influence of partial (for the rich) or inexpensive (the rest) alcohol your courage and acrobatic Demonstrate excellence in order to impress the opposite may be the choice with skillful Bauchklatschern or somersaults. Also worth mentioning, how then together in the evening, after one has "getubet" comfortable and drunk on a tire down the river to the city center, the restaurants towed away and gathered in front of large screen televisions in order to endless continuous episodes of "Friends" and "FamilyGuy" to recover from the day.

Acute Smell And Peroxide
Thailand from the perspective of Jan
The tour starts in Bangkok was well chosen ... pleasant bustling city and friendly people that we own the whole day to smile To get foot massages for almost tepid, heavenly food, and all totally relaxed ... a day had rich but first have to make a tour through the city ... probably still worth a Chinese district, a lot of chaos, thousands of food stalls with all sorts of goodies , useless all kinds of transactions apparently with thousands of things ... after all public transport means were used to bus, skytrain and subway nor the boat shuttle stayed on the "River of Kings (Chao Phraya) past the Wat Arun, huge barges, speedboats, the Royal Palace and dozens of other gleaming gold temples and palaces. Apart from the hustle and bustle there are always quiet corners and parks. The performances of Langzeitausteiger in juggling and be happy, and the public of some aerobic and younger Thai women load times even tarry a while. In addition to countless culinary delights and enjoyed a foot massage was the visit of the night on the observation deck of the Baiyoke Tower 2 (304m the tallest building in Thailand) the latest tourist attraction in Bangkok.
The next day we left the Khao San Road with all its tourist amenities including tourists to the bus to Ko Samet fahren.Das announced backpacker's paradise with charm, we found not the same as before, but then drove it too many Pauschalis around there. Nevertheless, settled with favorable lending to mopeds, wonderfully secluded beach sections of the island erkunden.Wer like nothing better than to do nothing to like, keep safe here for more from ... otherwise rich 2 days, the food again and again with delicious, foot massage, dearest Anlächelei and the likeness of King sweetened werden.Der loose plan should lead us now actually to Cambodia, but the weekend and expected masses of gambling travelers in the lying near the border with Cambodia to Las Vegas (Poipet) promised stress and long waits at the border. .. so a little Thailand. So went it to Sukhothai, the first kingdom of the Thais. Very nice the ride was comfortable way to cycle through the Sukhothai Historical Park, with its scattered Buddha statues and Khmer temples. There would be much of a Buddhist flair that makes, among other things, a large part of Asia to enjoy in peace. An interesting negotiation strategy we met for the first time in Hutkauf ... one is 150, 2's are at a discount for every 120th .. but the trick if you want to have 3 ... then you come with many words, not 450th .. the illogic of the selfsame partout Hutverkäuferlogik was not expel. .. then it remained at 2 hats. Früstücksgespräche with the next table then our more specific route to the north. About unspectacular Chiangrai, which is used by many tourists as a starting point to visit the Golden Triangle, we drove to the border town situated on the Mekong to Laos, Chiang Kong.
Direct eye contact with the Giant Mekong Cat Fish in the now dilapidated museum could no longer be admired, so there was only watching the fishermen. But the huge specimens of the catfish fish of up to 3m, we could not see. The excellent choice of our hostel took us a bit of a linger in ChiangKong, a city that will be folded into the already high by 8 the sidewalks. Here, too, came you can not drum to eat around good to enjoy an oily full body massage, to enjoy the heart-open smile of the Thai people and admire the manifold facets of the king, before then travel through Thailand to the border crossing to Laos should be completed first. But we were certainly not the last time here.
