Annapurna Himal in Nepal
In the Himalayas there is a mountain range called Annapurna Himal . This leads one trekking route - and this I have followed for 12 days. Sometimes alone, mostly of people from all over the world. This beautiful trail passes through many small-hinuistische Nepalese or Tibetan Buddhist villages, through forests, across rivers, wild mountains, rice fields, snow and debris. There
Every day there is a new environment and at least the first 9 days and ever-decreasing temperatures. Of the season in the 400 trekkers fortunately nothing more to see - and the fact that we have rarely made an alarm clock, I probably owe met hardly anyone to be on the trail.
The rice farmers have harvested, dried, sorted, drove the donkeys up the hill and friendly greetings.

Manali and Amritsar Varanasi
Bevor dort der Winter einbrach war ich klettern Mit'n British, Nick, a little hiking in the surrounding mountains have, eat delicious momos (Tibetan dumplings filled) of the evening I warmed the oven, trying to slow the speed of my gut.
On the way to a destination for Indians on a thick population of this country was photographed on a donkey, he rose to this solely for that purpose, we passed through small villages with uniformed school children. We also visited NEN boring waterfall and great super hot springs at a Hindu temple in the not I could stand longer than 5 minutes at a time. At least it was at last hills and less Indian. Miners are real vieeeel relaxed - I could even read out every few hours and was only raised where I was from, as my father would be so
From there I went to Amritsar - the city of the Sikh and Golden Temple of Pakistan near the border. The Sikhs are a minority religion in India and have been so few have to participate. They are not so much on religious rituals and see the Sikhism rather than philosophy. like part of the interaction and therefore they offer free food and sleeping space for each. In return I have something donated, washed and peeled potatoes - Visit as most of the others the temple.
but I slept in a separate section for tourists - but it was so funny. One day we drove to the border about 70 miles away with a very funky show on both sides. Pakistan may like Indian soldiers (are the two States, as is well known not particularly green) completed call a kind of synchronized dance with inserts what soldier longest. Children on both sides were running a race with national flags on both sides and this was rewarded with applause each.
However, only the Indian side had tribune filling tourists. The Pakistanis had to numerically inferior anyway, with veiled women, after all, extremely agile and give children happy. Then I was in Lucknow , a town on the way to Nepal. There was a lot of administrative buildings of the British admire that were then immediately taken by the Indians who behave now compared to the infantry not unlike their predecessors. Somehow a little ' Animal Farm'. There I visited India after all, the first supermarket - a celebration! There was real chocolate ... :)

2007 Mustang Repair Manuals
This sacred for the Hindus of the Indian cities also attracts a lot of interesting characters. They live in ascetic meditation, beg, or their arts of divination, healing, and offer much more. Many of them are certainly charlatans, but most seem entirely convinced of their actions. We have spent some very nice and interesting day ...

The blue area the Taj Mahal and Udaipur
In the "Blue City", Jodhpur, can stand it. If you look apart from the dust of which I first coughing fit my Got life. For centuries there was a fort and every gewerkelt Maharaja did his. About the pastime of the Maharaja, the friendly tour of electronic voice says only that they had many concubines and occasionally wrote poetry. Of these great poems but seems not received, suggesting that the focus was rather on the concubines. The zoo we have visited, and that's about all I want to write to that ... (poor lion)
What we call India traveler should miss hardly is a time not so long ago completely overgrown building, which according to legend a shrewd Englishman wanted to tear off already and sale of items in the home, the Taj Mahal. This mausoleum, located in Agra and built for the deceased main wife (apart from a few others) took 20,000 people and nearly 20 years to upfront. Perhaps the expectations were too high, maybe it was the mass of companions there, but had a very similar structure exercised in the same place much more fascinating than the Taj itself - called the "Baby Taj".
almost extinct, except for ground squirrels and monkeys hordes it is at the other bank of the River. Externally it is very reminiscent of the big brother, but inside it is full of little stories and preserves the atmosphere, die sicher alle irgendwann mal passiert sein müssen.

The profile should be a common future mergers and important step for it.

By continuing drought for two years and growing violence in the region, 1.5 million people threatened by famine and death.

Even now, the violence in southern Sudan is worse than in the neighboring Darfur region.
Southern Sudan is one of the poorest regions of the world. 16 percent of the population are chronically undernourished. The infant mortality rate is between 30 and 40 percent. 90 percent of the population is less than one euro per day available. Caritas hopes to secure the distribution of food, seeds, farm equipment and the introduction of improved cultivation techniques to as many people to survive. Painting Gold Shower Door
the Jain temple
Andere Tempel waren auch well attended. As we all a little too much - and that was long before the streets had emptied - we retreated to our little balcony with a beer and Bengal lights of looking at the very long-lasting fireworks. Where "long" is easier to measure in days rather than in hours. Indians are so accustomed to some it seems to me - and ear plugs are blessed.
The city also has a palace, march in the Indian court with very Scottish bagpipes. Otherwise, the Palace of Maharaja has been built. A funny mixture may be deemed. Also visited a Jain temple of whose religion forbids it was to kill, no matter whether animal or plant. As they must eat, I still elicit. They also aim to build beautiful temples and possessions as we could admire in Ranakpur .
nice there I found my great gray ape, and so some Indians whose family pictures we break up now for our little ways.
times as India was under Muslim rule for 500 years and the country owes not only the Taj Mahal , but also one or two further, and so even a fairly large in Jodhpur, a city whose inhabitants preferred their houses blue underline and this makes quite pretty.

Highest Railway - a tiresome subject
"Faster, more frequent and more convenient" is the motto of the Swiss Railways (SBB). While in Austria routes are closed down and the clock is often thinned out, the opposite is happening in Switzerland. But what is the difference? Switzerland is obliged by law to
- That settlements must be developed ganzjärhig from 100 people,
- that lines must be served by at least 32 people a day with at least four course pairs
- that lines must be conducted every hour, if a route on her busiest section of more than 500 passengers transported per day.
- that a connection between all regional centers exist in the half hour. In comparison, Austria is to be set from 2010 the last direct links between the second and third largest city (Graz, Linz).
- the Swiss have the instrument of direct democracy. Also in Switzerland this car obsession of the rulers be tilted only by popular vote from the bottom.
(From: Guernica - Newspaper for and solidarity Freide No. 3 / 2009)
demand of MW (landscape and spatial planning): An Austria-ticket (for all public transport in Austria) 200 € / year! Which I agree with him!

How To Get To Poptropica From School
The events come thick and fast! Impressive moments over now move faster to me than I can remember. We left Rishikesh after four days of relaxed after arriving on the subcontinent to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan to drive. This we did by train in the sleeper, which was very informative about Indian eating habits. Together with an old, very established and dignified couple and a single Lord, we divided the doorless compartment. Since we are not yet on the food, which is distributed without the train (I hope for a slow, gentle adaptation of the bacterial cultures of my Ate body), only this nice old couple. However, I can not remember ever having heard such a human, such as smacking of the old lady, who handed over to me while her bare feet in order to rest next to me on the bench. We were honored not look while eating. Cutlery is not already part of the repertoire of self-conscious Indian. What did scare me but only me and where I not help a grin and chuckle was directed away from her was when these 69 annual repeatedly enjoyable and belched loudly. Later we came to talk and we were told that the two religious at a conference of its normally in the USA lehrenden Gurus waren.
Thus we have in Jaipur at the very beginning a very dear students on the way to know the old town, in Calcutta and studied was just in the Semsterferien with his family and the way a little work.
He dragged us right into the chai (tea) room on the road in order to meet his friends.
We spent the whole day with him and he took us to the secret (non-tourist) places of Jaipur, as the only inhabited by monkeys, Monkey Temple, or the Water Palace. This place was terrific monkey, the little we have eaten out of hand and we have the mistiriösen Monkey-Man met as the einziger Mensch im Tempel zu wohnen scheint.
Ultimately, however, it was all very innocent - our true friendship Indians sought and was sugar-sweet.
on next commit day we visited the Palace of the winds and we arranged to meet again with the friendly Indians to lunch and he Uwe dragged to the barber (and there interpretation. Fortunately, because it involved the creation of a kind Beckham mohawk hairstyle .. new to the hairdresser and fun for all customers of the store).
another day we spent in Pushkar - although it's usually supposed to be a great place it was there not so nice. The Holy See has recently been poisoned (where the official version, we believe that he is simply upset by all the garbage) and was excavated, the Indians were unfriendly and annoying because of the general situation (there are hardly any Indian tourists, since they know that). Due to the general sanctity was then not even alcohol, of which we had the place to drink good ...
So we went on to Ajmer and have now landed in Udaipur . Today Diwali - the Festival of Lights - one of the most important Hindu festivals of India (comparable to Christmas). We are in Udaipur, a beautiful town in southern Rajasthan - for me the most beautiful place where we were before. The atmosphere is now especially, because decorate for Diwali, the Indians their houses with lights, paper flowers and garlands, they paint the floor in front of their doorways and give themselves to sweets. Tonight, Diwali is celebrated with fireworks and similar to our New Year's Eve are throwing the streets already full of children, the Pops:)
Happy Diwali:)

Can Chili Powder Replace Chili Flakes
Delhi and Rishikesh
After an unscheduled landing somewhere over in Pakistan due to fog Delhi (which struck the pilot on landing), we were finally sold yet in this incredibly loud and bustling city.
So we drove an autorickshaw (three-wheeled motorized vehicle) built by the city in which every volume is like a new subway line. Rickshaw drivers push their vehicle including occupant aufschüssige high streets - sometimes several packages and above is still sitting on it or a whole, always uniformed schoolchildren. In the shaded concourse are a lot of people on the ground - no, not only beggars and the poor, even quite normal people waiting for their train. The U-Bahn by contrast, seems from another country - the sections are visited every few minutes, inexpensive (10 cents at least for us) and clean. Security checks are provided, and a general ban on smoking and spitting. The latter is of course not all places - no pull, the nose and collected emptying into the street outside is good form. Even the friendly calls on billboards generally prefer not to use plastic bags or better to use the stairs instead of the escalator to my understanding seem a little naive and miss the action there as well somehow.
The night train took us first on arrival even after Haridwar. Since Indian stations do not have name signs, one wonders from the planned arrival, the people on the platform where you just might be for now. From Haridwar by bus, along with many Indians and some boxes that are in transition and which it is then easy to climb over it Rishikesh. Rishikesh on the Ganges - the yoga capital of the world with a lot of ascetics, Holy Fast, Indian middle class tourists, beggars, holy cows and monkeys. It is the place where the Beatles lived in an ashram and they now hundreds of travelers from the western hemisphere - if not thousands - to do the same every year. We are now in the process of trying it too, and have our first two yoga classes placed behind us, "Ohhhmmmm - Inhaaaaaaiiiiillllll - hold your breath and concentrate on the green light you see beteween your eyebrow "Sodenn, because if it makes it beautiful. Fun it is, anyway - while we sit in a glass box high above the town overlooking the holy river and the green surrounding slopes. The air here is clean, the noise deafening, not quite. Confusing, but then the holy tourists - barefoot, thin and totally shanti. I still hope to be able to capture a good photo, hoping then prosecuted not for the photo of Shantimann to be ...

100 years Leopold Kohr
"Small is beautiful", "The doctrine of the human dimension" or "The end of the Great", the works of the economist and philosopher Leopold Kohr are more relevant today than ever. Even if the denial of the Great in my opinion not a good way in times of globalization, the functioning of small units more than a challenge of the 21st century. The destruction or thinning of the rural areas in Austria, Europe and the world can no longer be overlooked and pose great threats.
The discussion meeting on the anniversary in his home town of Oberndorf near Salzburg was very exciting and emotional. Erhard Busek said to very much support Kohr, but also points to the importance of the larger units (eg EU).
An interesting statement: The Verlgeich of the Tyrolean Parliament, the Nation Council and the European Parliament, according to Rep.. Eva Lichtenegger: "In the State Assembly only argued and insulted without form, the National Council, it is similar but somewhat konstrukiver and the European Parliament will be objective and appreciative worked [...] and in such a short time and the size of the Europ Parliament..
Ingredients In A Twix Bar
presentation at the World Forum in Salzburg Commons
Salzburg. "What kind of world we leave to our children?" The Global Commons are all that was we inherit or create together and have to pass on undiminished to future generations. The World Forum Commons brings together people who want to work together to change the world who want to help create a world in balance.
The "Coalistion for the Global Commons" is a platform for global initiatives, networks and organizations whose goal is global change. The conference in Salzburg (29/30. September 2009) contributed a further step in this coalition.
I could here a workshop with Franz Fischler on "EcoSocial Market Economy" in mind. Workshop participants were, among other things Uwe Möller (Secretary General of the Club of Rome) and Peter Hesse (Peter-Hesse-Foundation). We discussed while the theme Eco-Social Market Economy processed using special three approaches. Distributive justice; Coast Transparency; Qualtiy of life without growth - beyond GDP.
The workshop methodology and content is very successful. Results will soon be found on www.world-commons-forum.org.

Blue Prints For Dining Table
Back to my roots sustainability
St. Pölten. The HLUW Yspertal (Higher School of Environment and Economics in 2010 celebrates its 20 years old - and a private school. This particular year will be an opportunity to communicate to the issue of sustainability in Yspertal, the Waldviertel in Lower Austria and wide.
I am in project identification and planning involved and I am happy to contribute - especially as a former student of HLUW.

Tongue Red Sores Painless
300 visitors inside at "Zukunft.Fest.Feiern - Prambachkirchen grows through Agenda 21 together
Prambachkirchen. 300 visitor, sunshine and happy faces everywhere I looked. The Agenda 21-Fest "Zukunft.Fest.Feiern" on Sunday, 6th September was a great matter. The positive momentum that spreads the Agenda 21 in the whole place was also felt at this event. The
special festival went in primary school Prambachkirchen across the stage. It was the one looking back at the end of the Agenda 21 process, which is "ver_rückt Prambachkirchen" under the motto. What did he do? What has been done so far? It was seen on the other the present and of course it was also looked into the future. In the future profile that many dedicated citizens have created and which was presented at the festival, is well established concept, will go where the journey.
"Zukunft.Fest.Feiern" was a very successful event for young and old, the have all felt comfortable. The impression does not deceive: Prambachkirchen rückt durch die Agenda 21 noch enger zusammen.
